KURT DX8 CROSSOVER VISE

The Kurt DX8 CrossOver® vise is a combination of the best features of the Kurt D810 and Kurt 3800V vises into a single vise with state-of-the-art features that set a new standard in precision flatness, parallelism and repeatability.

FEATURES:

• One-piece body design is standard on all general-purpose vises, designed using Finite Element Analysis and has 30% less horizontal (push back) deflection than previous DX models.
• Benefits of a stationary jaw: Improves vise performance jaw cannot be removed and reassembled incorrectly.
  • Eases fastener-induced body stress ** eliminating fasteners on the top of the stationary jaw means there’s less chance of twist in the body during or after assembly.
  • Minimizes chip and fluid blowback ** no counter-bored holes on the top of the stationary jaw to catch chips and no blow back when cleaning the chips off with an air nozzle.
• Less vise-body deflection means more stability than a bolt-on design allows and a lifetime of dimensional precision.
• The pull-type design, including the cast-on stationary jaw, now matches the quality and safety of our highest precision 3600V and 3800V family.
• The DX8 has the same bed height and keyway to the stationary jaw face as the D810. It has a redesigned nut with lighter weight, new brush seal design, and a stronger bearing pack for more durability.
• The redesigned body still retains the lifting handle on the back side of the stationary jaw for easy positioning while the chip guard no longer passes under the stationary jaw with the one-piece body design and won’t protrude out of the back of the vise.
• Features the AngLock® spherical segment to create all-directional alignment and reduce jaw lift and imporve performance.
